About Judas

Ignoring the multitude of warnings against falling away, those who hold to the false doctrine "once saved- always saved" contend that those who names are given who obviously fell away never belonged to the Lord. This is how they treat Simon (Acts 8) even though Jesus said he that believes and is baptized shall be saved and Simon did that very thing, yet he was in the gall of bitterness and the bond of iniquity. Sounds like he was once the possession of Christ bit fall away.

But they say the same thing about Judas. Maybe they know more than Peter did when time came to replace Judas. He said, "For he (Judas, JWB) was numbered with us, and had obtained part of this ministry" (Acts 1:17). Somebody else was to take his place (Acts 1`:20). Strange how false teachers think they know better than inspired apostles.
