Be Careful When Angry

Ephesians 4: 26, "Be ye angry and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath." There are over five hundreds references to anger in the Bible. Anger, which is a synonym for rage, fury, indignation, wrath, emotional excitement induced by intense displease, is an unpleasant emotion. One can possibly be angry and not sin because anger is moderated and tempered by self-control and self-discipline. But we are very vulnerable to temptation when angry.

Some have the idea that all anger is sinful but that is not so because we read of God's anger. It depends on what makes us angry and how we conduct ourselves when angry. It is wrong to become angry over some matters when without provocation or justification. But when we are made angry we must be more cautious than ever because we will more likely lose control, say and do things that are sinful and cause regret.
