Grow by Adding

The Christian life is, among other things, a life of spiritual growth. If we do not grow we shall become spiritually emaciated. As a newborn babe is expected to grow physically, so must the Christian babe grow spiritually. It is not a shame to be immature unless one has had time and opportunity to grow but has not taken advantage of his chance to grow. It is shameful to not be growing (Hebrew 5: 12).

Growth comes by adding Christ-like characteristics to our own lives and characters as Peter described in Second Peter 1: 5- 7.

We also grow by exercise. We must put into action the virtues of Christianity and as we do we grow spiritually. Keep in mind, growth is expected. To not grow is displeasing to God and disappointing to ourselves.
