He Knows

One of the characteristics of the letters the Lord sent to the seven churches of Asia was His repeated statement how He knew about them. "I know thy works..." was a comment made to each of the churches. The view they had about themselves was not always the accurate view. But the Lord know what they suffered, what challenges they faced, what good things there were about them, and what they needed to do to make corrections where necessary.

It is the same today. Our Lord is not only aware of us, cares for us, provides for us, loves us, but also is knowledgeable about us in every detail, individually and collectively as congregations.

It is sobering to remember that the Lord knows about us, seeing every action and knowing every motive. But is it not also comforting to know that He knows? As our High Priest (Heb. 4: 15) He is capable of handling our needs as He deems best. We are so blessed with such a One as He.
