Judges Are Smarter Than God |

| Many seem to think
so because they outlaw capital punishment. But civil government has been
ordained of God to have the power of enforcement of its laws. It has the
power of the sword, an instrument of force, and even of death. There is no
doubt that civil government has been given this power by the Lord. If it
chooses to exercise that power, it has the right before God to do so.
Capital punishment is no more a violation of the law of God than is the
existence of civil government.
Even the home and church could not survive without power to enforce the laws governing them. The power of the home and church does not include what civil government has the right to do. But today we have smart judges who think capital punishment is wrong. They think they know better than God. They only prove that all fools are not dead! |
