Many May be Like Kate

Kate is my youngest granddaughter just turned five. She was trying to explain something to her parents and possibly the whole story was not being told. Evie, her sister who just turned seven, chimed into the discussion and said, "God knows everything and always tells the truth. I will ask Him."  Kate quickly responded, "Oh, no, don't ask Him." It sounded like asking God would cause her some concern.

It may be that we do and say things and even believe something but we shy away from asking God about it. We learn His will from the Bible. The last thing some of us want is what God has to say.

We can understand the childhood reaction from Kate. But what of grown people who have that same attitude? "Oh, no, don't ask Him."
