The Precious Death |

| Most of us likely
consider death as a great loss. It may be just that. But the death of a
faithful child of God is considered precious by the Lord. "Precious
in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints" (Psalm 116:15).
To Him there is something beautiful about the end of a life on earth by
those who lived in service to Him. Not only will his influence radiate
among those left behind but it is like "homecoming" at
last.
This life can bring a person many heartaches and sorrows, pain and misery. Certainly not all of life is this way. But some have such a difficult time. Death to them would bring relief and reward. How blessed we are that God considers death of His people the way He does. It will be helpful to us if we adopt this view. |
