Who Made The Law of Grace?

Grace is the unmerited favor of God toward man. Law is an authoritative rule. Who doubts we are saved by grace and that man must obey God's law? Evidently some think the two concepts are contradictory. They are very wrong. The two are not only compatible but both are included in God's system of salvation for man.

Obedience to God's law brings us into the benefits of God's grace. Without obedience we are not saved (Heb. 5: 9). God's grace teaches us (Titus 2: 11, 12) what God has done to save us and what we must do to lay hold of His blessings.

By the way, if we are saved by grace alone (no obedience to law being  necessary as some wrongly teach) who made that law? If God did, must we not obey it? Or can we tell Him to save us regardless of what we do?
