Would He Pray the Same For Us?

Recorded in Colossians 1: 9- 12 is a prayer the Holy Spirit had Paul to write and tell those brethren of the things for which he prayed on their behalf. Take a quick glance at those verses and count the things mentioned. Having commended them earlier in the chapter, he wants them to be filled with the knowledge of His will, with wisdom and understanding, walk worthily in everything, bear good fruit, increase in their knowledge and fellowship with God, be strengthened, develop patience and joy, and always be thankful. Possibly I have overlooked something.

But the point of today's thought is that this was what the Holy Spirit wanted for Christians, then. It is what He wants for Christians now.

Saul asked the Lord on the road to Damascus, "What do you want me to do?" Well, here we have several things God wants the Christian to do. It is quite a task and will spiritual effort on our part.
