How to Resist

     We have previously noted that we are all constantly being tempted to do evil. We read from James that we should resist the devil and he would flee from us. Just how can we resist?

     Consider the wages of sin and it becomes less attractive (Rom. 6:23). Our Lord used the Word ("It is written...") to combat temptation (Matt. 4). Psalm 119:11, "Thy word have a hid in my heart that I might not sin against thee."

    Faithfulness to worship (a command) keeps life in perspective and our priorities centered. There is always the sure way by just saying NO, like Daniel (Daniel 1:8). These and others combined together equips us to successfully combat the wiles of the devil and temptations.
