Victim or Victor

     We all are subject to temptation. This is one of the weapons the devil uses to cause us to transgress the law of God. By appealing to the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eye and the pride of life he deceived Eve, tried our Lord and attacks us.

    We pray we can withstand temptation by resisting the devil. While we do not seek to be tempted, we can turn it to our advantage if we handle it correctly. There are several weapons we have available to fight against it. When we fight temptation we can become stronger and be a victor over it rather than a victim. 

    We shall mention some ways to combat temptation tomorrow, Lord willing.
