A Better Dinner |
||
Usually a meal is
measured by the goodness of the food; but not always. It depends on those
with whom you eat. Sometimes those around can ruin an otherwise great
meal. Maybe you can ruin it yourself.
Proverbs 15: 17, "Better is a dinner of herbs where love is, than a stalled ox and hatred therewith." A stalled ox is one that is kept in a stall and fed selective food to make it good for food. It was considered the best; but not always. Where there is love among those eating together everything is good. But if hatred is allowed to rule the heart nothing is good. Maybe this is why family meals are so enjoyable. Is this not experienced when brethren eat together? Make your meal a good one. Eat well! Let love rule your heart. |
