A Demonstration |
||
In a world so
hostile to Christ it is not an easy task to demonstrate what a Christian
should be. But the contrast is very noteworthy. Romans 12: 1,2 tells us to
prove (put to an open test) God's will. A Christian is expected to show
what the will of the Lord is by the life that he lives and that for which
he stands and opposes. The gospel is to be preached by word to be sure.
But the way of truth is to be lived, proved and demonstrated..
The will of God is described as being good, acceptable and perfect. These are the terms, therefore, that ought to describe our lives as we demonstrate the will of God. To the extent our lives are not so described, to this extent there is room for growth. We must not fail to demonstrate to the world how God would have all men everywhere to live. |
