A Necessary Consideration |
||
There are numerous
things society should consider. But none is more necessary than the
following. For one to be able to determine what is right and wrong there
must be that perfect standard of measure. Furthermore, one must know that
standard to apply it.
In religion men have heaped to themselves their human traditions, creeds, manuals, prayer books, catechisms, disciplines, confessions, etc. Some follow their feelings, doctrines of men, clergymen, theologians, ancestors, etc. All these are constantly changing, being altered, "up-dated," and discarded. They are as fickle as could be. They are not reliable, but are of human authority and not from God. The only standard is God's Word. Unless you get a "modern speech" paraphrase, it always says the same thing. Learn it and follow it. |
