A Spiritual Resurrection |

| A spiritual
resurrection is a Biblical way of describing becoming a Christian. Paul
said, Ephesians 2:1, "And you hath he quickened, who were dead in
trespasses and sins." A person can be dead in sins or alive in
Christ.
Those to whom the Holy Spirit had Paul write this epistle had done what was necessary to enter into a "newness of life" (Romans 6:4). The same teaching Paul gives to the Ephesians he gave to the Colossians in chapter two verse 13. Here is what it means to be "born again" (John 3:3-5). Recognizing that the word death means separation, we realize we are separated from God because of sins but can be made alive (quickened) when we come to Christ because He forgives us of our sins, the only way to be made alive.. |
