An Added Meaning |

| There is that
beautiful song we sing calling upon our God to protect and provide for us
in times of difficulty and hardship. It asks God to "keep me safe
'till the storm passes by." This is a reasonable petition and we rely
upon the providence of God to suit unto us whatever is best for us. Of
course, the principal prayer is for spiritual protection.
Today that song had an added meaning in view of tornadoes and storms in our area. The sky was dark, the wind was high, the rain poured and we wondered what comes next. All passed and even though there are still WATCHES out for a few more hours we think the worst has passed us by. HOPE SO! But when things were a bit tense and the unknown seemed upon us the sentiments of that song seemed appropriate. There is comfort in the knowledge that our God cares about us.
