The Ant Works |
||
Proverbs six directs
us to observe the ant regarding work. Taking Solomon's advice, consider
the ant.
In spite of smallness of size, the ant works. Many jobs it cannot do but it does what it can. While it cannot carry at once an entire pile of grain the ant, working in cooperation with other ants, can soon take that pile of grain away. Did you ever sweep your foot across the path of ants? Did you notice how they immediately begin to build anew and do not stop until their task is done? Ants never fight one another as far we can tell. They cooperate. We could wish all humans could be as wise? Ants only fight intruders into their midst. If God provides for the ant, and He does, will He not provide for His people? |
