Are You on the Cross |
||
Some say they want
to be saved like the thief on the cross. Are they on the cross? Do they
live before the way of salvation through Christ began on Pentecost? Why do
they wish to avoid the Lord's command to be baptized? Nobody today can be
saved the way the thief was saved. They just do not want to be saved God's
way. That's all.
It is just another false ploy by the "faith only" people. But it won't stand up. The thief isn't an example of how people are saved by the gospel of Christ. The gospel had not even been taught in its completeness on the day the thief died. The gospel includes the Lord's death, burial and resurrection (1 Cor. 15: 1-4). That had not even happened yet. Some want a different gospel to suit their denominational creeds. Sorry! It won't save.
