Baptism Scene |
||
Tell your friends we
have a Biblical word picture of the action of baptism. "And he
commanded the chariot to stand still, and they down, both into the water,
both Philip and the eunuch, and he baptized him. And when they were come
up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord caught away Philip that the
eunuch saw him no more, and he went on his way rejoicing" (Acts 8:
38, 39).
No honest person can read these words a get sprinkling or pouring out of it. The word "baptize" means to plunge beneath, bury, submerge. But even if somebody did not know that the reading of this passage is conclusive. Tell people about it. |
