The Better Does It |
||
God gave the Law of
Moses and it had its purposes and functions. But it "made nothing
perfect" (Hebrews 7: 19). A better hope did. We draw nigh to God by
that which is better; not by the Law of Moses.
So much of the religious world is confused about the Mosaic Law and its relationship with the will of Christ. They mix the two together and produce a perverted and distorted religion. Some think just because the old law came from God that we can expect our blessings to come through it. The first covenant was fulfilled and abolished. We live subject to God by the law given through Christ (Hebrews 1: 1,2). He is the "mediator of a better covenant (Hebrews 8: 6) and we are privileged to live before God according to the will and way of Jesus Christ. Learn the difference! |
