Better Than Nothing? |

| Some things are
better than nothing but just barely. This morning I saw some folks at
worship I had not seen in a year. It was "Easter" and they are
so regular in their attendance. They come every Easter. Well, that may be
better than nothing. But I doubt it. We'll God determine that. But is not
it a shame that people can soothe their seared conscience by dropping in
for a worship service once a year? What if God blessed us just that much?
I know that they heard something today that should cause them to think. I preached on what Jesus means. Not what Jesus means to me but what He means according to Scripture. We should make Him mean to us what He really means and offers to mean to the whole world. What a blessing to be "in Christ." |
