Boldness or Shame |

| "Herein is our
love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment:
because as he is, so are we in this world" (1 John 4:17). Boldness
means undoubting confidence. "And now, little children, abide in him;
that, when he shall appear, we may have confidence, and not be ashamed
before him at his coming" (1 John 2:28). Again, there is confidence
but also possible shame when the Lord comes and the judgment takes place.
Which shall it be with you?
Being faithful in Christ we have the assurance of heaven. We can be just as sure that we shall be ashamed at the judgment if we do not come to Christ. Because of God's love, mercy and grace we can look forward to the day of judgment confidently. If only we will obey His will. |
