Busy Days |
||
Most of us prefer
days when out time is spent in usefulness and a lot of activity. We feel
we have accomplished something at the end of the day when we look back on
it. Many trivial matters came into play. But likely some very serious
things occupied our thought and time also.
Sometimes we get too busy to give proper consideration to that which matters the most and that is our spiritual relationship with God. Truly, we ought not let a day pass without feeding on His word, going to Him in prayer, and giving thought to our many activities to determine whether God would be pleased with them. We are taught to "redeem the time," make the most of it, do the best we can. But if we neglect that which not only governs this life but determines our future existence we have misspent a good day even though busy. |
