Choose: Christ or the "Scholar" |
||
Much that is called
"scholarship" today is skeptical of the Bible. Coming to the
Bible having already decided to reject the miraculous, the skeptic rejects
predictive prophecy; seeing into the future. Of course, the ability to do
so results from God's miraculous revelation to man by the prophets. The
skeptics reject any prophecy that foretells. Are they correct? If
so, that rejects the inspiration of Scripture and Christianity which
is their pre-announced goal. They assume what they cannot prove and
proceed.
Christ does not agree with such "thinking." In Luke 24:44 He said, "I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me." Those who wrote lived long before Christ but spoke of Him. Their words foretold the Christ. Therefore, the denial of predictive prophecy by the "scholars" contradicts the view of the Son of God. Now, we must choose which to believe. The choice is easy. |
