The Christian Heart |
||
It would require
many pages in many books to fully depict the Christian heart. One quality
is found in Romans chapter seven, verse twelve. "Rejoicing in hope;
patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer."
The child of God has more reason to rejoice than any other person on earth. After all, he belongs to God. He is in the right spiritual relationship with his Creator and Judge. His sins are forgiven and he is saved. He is on his way to heaven. Why not rejoice? Hardship and tribulations confront him daily. The world's condition only present dark clouds for the earthly future of Christians. But the Christian does not buckle. His dependence is on God and this dependence is constantly reflected by the practice of prayer.
