Commendable Government Workers
  I am confident there are such people. I know some of them personally. I also know and have known of so many who do not quality for this description. I just finished an interesting study of some government workers in New Testament times which are nearly always spoken of in a favorable light. Those are the centurions, military people of the Roman army, commanders of one hundred men.

  There are a number of references about centurions and their connection with Christ and the apostles. Take the time to read about them. Get your concordance and run the references. It won't take long but you'll be glad you did this study. One after another they served in a commendable fashion and exhibited some very extraordinary qualities. Makes you wish we could find more like them to operate our governmental affairs.
