Could God be Angry With Us? |

| Let's not try to
decide that just here. But consider something revealed in Scripture.
Ezra 8:22 shows God's anger against those that forsake Him. "His
power and his wrath is against all them that forsake him." Second
Chronicles 28:11, "Now hear me therefore, and deliver the captives
again, which you have taken captive of your brethren: for the fierce wrath
of the Lord is upon them." God is angry at those who were against His
people. He is angry against the heathen (Psalm 79:6). He is angry at those
who go their own way (Psalm 106:39, 40). The hypocrite is the object of
His anger (Job 36:13; Matthew 23).
God is angry at those who, like Balaam, compromise the truth (Joshua 7:1). Jesus looked with anger upon those whose hearts were hardened against the truth (Mark 3:5). On and on grows the list of some against whom God has anger. So much for the information!. Now! Do we ever find ourselves among those categories of people? Such a serious matter! |
