The Dash |
||
Don't you often wish
you could remember where you first learned some new idea, new concept,
useful information or illustration? The following is not original with me
and I wish I could give credit where credit is due.
Someone wrote about the dates given when a person dies. For instance, 1950-2008. They called attention to the dash. That represents the life that was lived. It does seem like it is a dash sometimes from one thing to another and moves so rapidly. What takes places during that dash between the two numerals is what we did and that for which we shall give account. As simple as this depiction is there is real wisdom in considering our own "dash" and how we use it. See the many dashes on the tombstones and remember that to the person whose body is buried there, that was life. |
