Description of Unrighteous Humanity

Romans 3: 10-18 describes the spiritual condition of humanity and the need of salvation brought by Christ that nothing else can provide. The passage is a series of quotations from the Old Testament. As you read of these conditions you can see the deplorable state of so much of our world today. It stems from the lack of respect for God.

Paul notes in verse 23 that all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. All need forgiveness because all have failed to be the glorious creature God intended when He created us. Mankind has chosen the path of sin rather than the way of righteousness.

Read these passages and see if they do not picture our present day as well as the hideous sinfulness of yesteryear.
