| "Wherefore by
their fruits ye shall know them" (Matt. 7: 20). What is the fruit of
alcoholic beverages? Few things are promoted more than drinking alcohol.
You would think the world is dependent on it to survive.
When consumed alcohol takes away understanding and good judgment, destroys mental and physical capacities, makes the drinker a danger to himself and those around him. It destroys the body. Such fruit! There is no moral, financial, recreational, physical, emotional or any other kind of defense for consuming alcoholic beverages. If ever there was a label that is true it is the one that calls strong drink the "devil's brew." It is inconceivable that a child of God who loves the Lord would ever have a tolerant attitude toward the consumption of it. |
