Do Not Stop Too Soon |
||
This brief article
is just a reminder to the Bible student of something he learned a long
time ago. The designation of chapters and verses is not inspired but is a
very useful tool compiled by Bible students many years ago that certainly
facilitates our study. We are so grateful for the chapters and verses.
Sometime, however, the subject material does not end with the end of the chapter but continues into the next chapter. Unless we are cautious we shall stop our study too soon by ending with the last verse of a chapter. You have to at least take a quick look at the opening verses of the next chapter to see if the subject under discussion may continue. An example of this is Romans 14 and Romans 15. The relationship between the weak and the strong is discussed regarding matters of indifference. It begins in fourteen but continues into fifteen. So be a careful student and allow for this possibility when you study. |
