Does "Christian" Mean Just Anything? |

| It surely does to
many people Watching a television program on the Protestant Reformation we
saw how woefully unbiblical the narrator would use the term
"Christian." He would jump from one sect to another, one
doctrine to another, just anything somebody happened to want and like and
he would call it "Christian." There is no excuse for such
ignorance but that is the dominant feature of the religious world
regarding the term.
It just never seems to dawn on many to search the Scriptures to learn what is and is not of Christ. It is wrong to call those things that come from men after the name of Christ as if He was the author of it. I wonder how pleased a man would be if somebody used his name regarding something that he not only did not approve, but even disapproved. Yet, people do the Son of God that way. |
