First Half Review

Possibly the analogy is weak, but in athletic contests when the first half of the game is completed each side retires for a few moments to take a look at the situation and see what can be improved. Well, the first half of this year is over and we begin the second half today, July 1.

It is usual for people to take inventory at the beginning of the year, but why not survey your spiritual interests, commitment, determination and faithfulness at this point? We are urged to engage in self-examination repeatedly. So our spiritual thought for today is that we take a spiritual inventory of our lives and efforts in serving God and find ways we can do even better the next six months. Where might you improve?

Spiritual growth does not just happen. It must be decided and determined. Let's all do it.
