Footprints

You have read it before but it is so good. A man dreamed he was walking on the beach with the Lord. The scenes of his life flashed before him. He usually saw two sets of footprints in the sand; his and the Lord's. But he noticed there were times when there was only one set of prints and it happened at the very lowest and saddest times of his life.

He questioned, "Lord, you said that if I decided to follow you that you would walk with me all the way. But I noticed in the most troubling times of life there was only one set of footprints. Why did you leave me when I needed you most?"

The Lord replied, "Precious child, I will never leave you in your time of trial and suffering. When you see only one set of footprints it was then that I was carrying you." Quite a thought!
