Good Middle Ground |
||
Sometimes taking a
middle position can be very dangerous, like when you are driving down the
road. You should stay on your side. But often it is the best way to go.
For instance, we can be so cautious against making a mistake that we do nothing for fear of making an error. That is an error. Also we can act so thoughtlessly that we rush into action without proper consideration of the consequences and live to rue the day we jumped so fast. Jesus wants action but with alertness and proper attention to what we are doing. While we must PROgress we must not DIgress. Launching out into the deep could produce many fish but again it could bring chaotic results if we do not attend to our nets properly. We simply must think - truly THINK - about what we do and be sure it is in harmony with His will before we have to regret our actions. |
