Hard to Tell

Influence is something that is very difficult to measure. Yet we know it is powerful both for good and evil. Christ is the perfect example in this matter and we should strive to imitate Him. But the influence of parents, friends, brethren, acquaintances we meet throughout a day, registers upon us and many times we are not aware of just how significant that influence may be.

More than likely our influence reaches out far beyond what we think. For this reason we must guard carefully the manner of life we live.

How far reaching is the influence of a sermon or Bible class? Who can tell with any degree of certainty? Sometimes something occurs and the influence of it has a short life, but other times the influence goes on and on.

Hard to tell, isn't it? What may result we cannot always know. It may still be producing good long after we are gone. Or maybe evil!
