He Arose and Went |
||
It may not seem to be a very important thing at first, but if we will think about it we shall see as demonstration of immediate and strict obedience to God on the part of Phillip. God told him to go toward the south unto the way that goes down from Jerusalem to Gaza, a deserted area. Without questioning or hesitation, as far as the record reveals, he did what he was instructed. The ultimate result of his obedience led to the obedience and salvation of the man from Ethiopia. His conversion is an easily understood revelation of how man becomes a Christian. How many have been led to the truth because of the example given in this chapter that depended so heavily on the obedience of Phillip when "he arose and went." | ||
