He Died for the Ungodly |

Romans 5: 6,
"For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for
the ungodly." So much is said implicitly and explicitly in these
words.
It implies man is lost because of his sins. The "ungodly" refers to sinful man, just described as "without strength." We have to take note that it was Deity who acted on behalf of humanity. God was the One WHO initiated WHAT was to be done and WHEN it was to be done. The WHO is God. The WHAT was the Lord's death on the cross. The WHEN was when God saw fit for all these things to be accomplished. |
