He Fulfilled the Prophecy |
||
Isaiah was a man who
wrote by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. Among his prophecies was the
one calling for the birth of a child by a virgin (Isaiah 7:14). That it
called for a miracle is beyond debate. Did it ever come to pass? It
certainly did.
While there are those who like to confuse the issue and deny Christ was born of the virgin Mary, others try to find another instance of a virgin birth in the time of Isaiah. Don't you think the Holy Spirit knew when the prophecy was fulfilled? After all He delivered it through Isaiah. He also guided Matthew in what he wrote in Matthew chapter one that says it was fulfilled with the birth of Christ. That settles. That should end the discussion. The birth of Christ was the fulfillment of Isaiah's prophecy. It wasn't a "second fulfillment." It was THE fulfillment. |
