He Had Prepared Them |

Jesus taught and did
many things for the benefit of His apostles so they could go forth
confidently after He returned to heaven and declare the gospel to the
world. John 2: 22, "When therefore he was risen from the dead, his
disciples remembered that he had said this unto them: and they believed
the scripture, and the word which Jesus said."
This was written in the context of the word of Jesus regarding the destruction of the temple and the rebuilding of it in three days. He spoke of His body, of course. The disciples did not understand His words when they were spoken, but afterward it became apparent to them what the Lord had taught. They were prepared to carry out their mission. By His word we can also be prepared to take the glorious gospel to others who must hear it in order that may be saved. |
