When Jesus was
talking to two of John's disciples concerning Him being the Master, He
simply invited, "Come and see." In other words, consider the
evidence for yourself. We must do the same thing. We do this by consulting
what the Scripture reveals about Christ and not what others say.
Much is said today about Jesus that is so foreign to Scripture. Has anybody ever had their teaching more misrepresented than our Lord? Even politicians quote Him but not correctly. Especially is this true of liberals who don't respect Him anyway. They only quote Him to twist His words to suit their blasphemy. You cannot trust men to tell you the truth about Christ. Some will. Most will not. You must read the Bible for yourself. To us, come and see means read. |
