He Was in the Bible |

The way I heard the
story was that a Christian and an atheist were riding side by side on the
train and the Christian was reading his Bible. The atheist sought to mock
him by asking, "Do you really believe that book?" The Christian
said he did. The atheist laughed and scoffed at the teaching of the return
of Christ. The Christian then said he believed the Bible because it
already had spoken of the atheist. The atheist was puzzled and asked how
that could be. The Christian quoted Second Peter 3: 3,4, "Knowing
this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after
their own lusts, and saying, Where is the promise of his coming? For since
the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the
beginning of the creation."
Yes, there be those who scoff at the teaching on the return of Christ and just about everything else the Bible reveals. But the Bible already has them pegged. They are not as smart as they think themselves to be. Their kind is already exposed. It is because they are "willingly... ignorant and the Bible has already identified them. |
