He Was Rejected |
||
To reject is to
refuse to receive, hear or admit. It is to disapprove, repudiate and cast
off, throw back, and repel. People, ideas and things can be rejected. Some
things should be rejected. But not the Lord!
Repeatedly we read how Jesus was rejected by others as had been prophesied and as He taught. There is no way to reject Him more decisively than to reject and repudiate His word and what God has revealed in Scripture concerning Him. Yet, this is the dominant attitude toward Christ in our world. Many think they can do this and still be acceptable to God. The day of retribution is coming to those who reject the Son of God, man's only hope of salvation.
