| People sometimes say
a person has predicted certain things and they may actually come to pass.
Weathermen do this all the time (but not 100% accurate). But genuine and
true prophecy not only foretells the future but not in just broad general
ways but in specific where it can be determined whether it is from divine
guidance or not.
The prophecy by the dream of Nebuchadnezzar is most amazing. Daniel spoke as God informed him. He named the empire represented by the head of gold, specified the number of world-wide empires to come, and pinpointed the time of the coming of the Lord's kingdom. Lucky guess? Just coincidence? Is there something more? There is more. It is God. The multitude of prophecies and the fulfillment of them is irrefutable evidence of its divine source. |
