He Won't Be There |

Just as He had said,
and just as the angels announced, Jesus was not in the tomb because He had
been raised from the dead as proof of His identity as the Son of God. No
use for Peter and John to run to the tomb and expect to find His body.
They might want to see for themselves that the tomb was empty but it was
certain His body was not there. Good thing for us it was not there.
If Christ had not come forth from the grave the whole of Christianity would tumble down as nothing but another man-made religion. But because He came forth the faith of which He is the author is of divine origin and the only faith by which mankind can be redeemed from sin. Had he not shown power over death, how could He offer eternal life to us? The empty tomb is one evidence that declares His resurrection. This the inspired men taught and so do we. |
