Helpless and Doomed |
||
The title expressed
the condition of a newborn child according to Catholics and some
Protestants. The child is born GUILTY of the sin of Adam and Eve.
That we all suffer some consequences of that sin is admitted. But not the
GUILT.
They say that children who die nothing having been done to save them will suffer eternal hell. Realizing the dire condition this doctrine places the child men invented the practice of infant "baptism," which is not baptism but sprinkling of the child who has no control over of the procedure to which he is subjected. Scripture knows nothing of such a practice. There are those who consider God so unjust, cruel, irresponsible and vengeful that He would damn someone who has done no wrong and send him to hell through no fault of his own. The doctrine is false and those who teach it are false teachers. |
