Hindrances to Being Right |
||
Contrary to the
foolishness of some, there is such a thing as being right. We all want to
be right. Nobody prefers being wrong. But sometimes we are wrong and often
it is because of something we could correct.
Ignorance easily makes us wrong. Prejudice and pride will prevent us from seeing things as they really are. As much as anything, being self-willed causes a person to be wrong because he wants things his own determined way regardless of right and wrong. There are some who just prefer sin and measure themselves by faulty standards that excuse them. It is so hard for most of us to ever admit, "I'm wrong," even when we are. But it takes a better person to admit he is wrong when he is wrong than that person who holds on to what is wrong for whatever reason he may have. Is this wrong? |
