How Wicked Can One Be? |
||
What wicked people
our Lord faced! Mark 3: 2, "And they watched him, whether he would
heal him on the Sabbath day; that they might accuse him." A man with
a withered hand was in the synagogue with Jesus. The enemies of the Lord
could not rejoice over the cure of the afflicted man. They were so deep in
their human tradition and hatred of Christ that his healing meant nothing
to them. They only sought something to accuse Jesus regardless of how
unlawful were their charges.
But Jesus was not intimidated by such vile people, looked upon them with anger, and healed the man. Of course, His enemies sought to destroy Him after that but evildoers did not succeed in preventing His work. We need to remember that. |
