Injustice is Hard to Endure |
||
The courts are
supposed to be concerned with evidence, truth and justice. Too often that
is not the case but proceedings and decisions are determined by emotion
and prejudice. Therefore, many crimes are committed and the criminal is
excused or treated so leniently that justice is by-passed and victims are
losers all the more.
Today accusations are considered sufficient to condemn a victim and excuse the criminal even though proof of the accusation is not forthcoming. Especially is this true when the victim has been killed and the killer is the only one that is heard. Injustice rules the day time and time again. Christ, Paul and the early Christians knew injustice. Often good people are made to suffer injustice today because of a flawed judicial system and the lack of sympathy for victims. Too often the perpetrator of harm is made a celebrity rather than receiving just punishment. |
