Is Entertainment the Way? |

Some are so intent
on increasing the number present at their assemblies that they have turned
to foolishness and outright disgraceful conduct. The "bug" to
satisfy people rather than God has provoked some to seek to entertain
those present, get their applause, hear words of commendation, get their
money and then return to life again actually thinking they have done
something worthwhile. They have obviously dismissed the reason for worship
and reverence and orderliness have become old-fashsioned.
We have long suffered from the self-styled comedians and showmen with jokes and songs, but now the bands and costumes have found their way front and center. I suppose it depends on what you seek as to what you do. Worship is not a religious "Hee-Haw" but some do not seem to understand the difference. They get crowds; but nothing else. |
